Hello, I'm pleased to e-meet you!

My name is Larissa Dorneles, and I'm currently based in Berlin - you can call me Lars :)

I work with tech product design and management in global startups - and I've been specializing in data products, AI decision-making models, analytics, social sciences, and behavioral impact for the past few years.

I'm also a speaker and advocate for Product Discovery, quantitative research, and Responsible AI. If you're looking for material on some of my previous lectures and resource references, you can find what's publicly available here. Feel free to reach out if you're looking for something else!

Knowledge Background
My background-building was a somewhat uncommon mix of practical work experience and certificates in web design, user experience, and digital marketing, followed by academic studies in Information Science and AI, Economics and Statistics, and most recently Business Administration.

Due to my heavily technical-centered background, my level of expertise in working with tech data, business strategy, and social research often exceeds the expectations for a design role, and I'd be happy to discuss it on a technical level and demonstrate how I collaborate and merge my work with engineering, product and business parties.

How do I think?
I genuinely believe knowledge is never too much, and that design & strategy can benefit greatly from adjacent scientific knowledge, and applications!
Solutions can be innovative, business-efficient, and socially responsible if approached in the right way, and my focus is on building strategies, leveraging research and data from multiple fields of expertise, collaborating with peers, running controlled experiments, and collecting unbiased user feedback to deliver digital experiences and value propositions that align society's goals with business objectives.

What have I been doing?

I've experience working with dozens of millions of users in markets such as Food delivery, HR recruitment, Real Estate, Scientific communication, and information management on companies based in the EU, the US, and Latin America.
Some of the brands and institutions that rely on products I've worked on are Foodora, Foodpanda, PedidosYa, Harvard University, Abbott Laboratories, Claro Telefonica, Renault, Decathlon, Leroy Merlin, ...

Also, I'm comfortable working and running user research in English, Spanish, and Portuguese - and I'm always willing to learn a new language. Try me!

... And who am I?
I was born and raised in the south of Brazil, although I have lived, worked, and/or studied in multiple countries since: Germany, USA, Costa Rica, Argentina (and counting!)
On a human level, I'm a nerdy and open-minded human rights activist who's fascinated with science, technology, demographics, social responsibility, and behavioral economics.

I'm also a huge fan of literature, travel, indie music, graffiti, games, and cooking grilled dishes =)

Feel free to add and check my latest updates on LinkedIn. You can also take a look at my resume
If you've come this far, there's a good chance we can collaborate and work on some nice things together. I'd love to meet you!
